Man Skirt Brewing got its name back in 2008. I had been home brewing for a few months and needed a label for my bottles. I wanted it to be something different, something fun, and something that spoke a little bit about me.

So I thought hey, I hate pants and I love my Utilikilts! My wife came up with the original logo and Man Skirt Brewing was officially born. The artwork and website were later updated by the ever-talented Justine Sherry. Both the beer and the brewery name were a big hit, and I continue to wear my Utilikilts around the brewery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get beer to go?

You sure can! We offer 32, 64, and 128 ounce growler fills of any of our draft beers. We also have cans available. You can check out the most up-to-date selection of both on our Beer Menu page.

Will you fill another brewery's growler?

Yes, we are happy to.

May I buy a growler or cans and drink it in the brewery?

No; growlers, cans, and bottles are for off-site consumption only. This is for legal and liability reasons.

Are you kid and/or dog friendly?

Yes, we welcome both kids and animals on leashes to the brewery. Leashes optional for kids.

Do you serve food?

No, but you can bring your own food or have it delivered from one of the great local restaurants.

Can I bring outside wine/beer/other alcohol into the brewery?

No, this is not allowed by law.

Do you have space to rent?

Yes! There are two options:

  • If you have a large party, you can rent the entire brewery. However, we only do this outside of our normal tasting room hours (e.g. on a Monday, or after 6 on a Sunday). We ask $100/hour to have staff on hand.
  • We have an upstairs space that can hold about 30 people plus food. You can reserve this space at no charge during business hours if it is free.

In either case, the party may run a tab for beer, or it can be a cash bar with people paying for their own beer. We can also offer tokens that your guests can exchange for beer so you can limit the amount of beer on the tab.

Contact us for a reservation and we'll let you know how we can accommodate you.
